This past weekend we were out of town for our anniversary and decided to have a wine picnic. I googled state parks and entered the closest one into the nav. Well, the nav didn't take us to the park, it took us 3 miles down a one lane (hardly) dirt path that ended in a dead end. I figured while I was out here I might as well have some fun. Combined 10 hour road trip and off-roading made the car pretty dirty obviously. Too dirty for ONR.

When I have used the foam gun in the past, I put about 2 oz of solution and maybe 8 oz of water, then set it on the medium setting. I froth the car and let it sit for 3 minutes and spray it off, then I proceed to do a normal wash. I have never been impressed at all with this method and my foam gun made it to the back of my drawer hardly ever used. Since the car was pretty dirty, I thought I would try the foam gun again and add 1 oz of onr to the 2 oz of optimum shampoo. The car wasn't as frothy, but the onr began working immediately and between the shampoo and onr the surface was so slick I decided not to rinse it off before washing. I had two buckets with optimum shampoo and grit guards ready, and went straight to washing with the schmitt with the car still foamed and I must say, it worked amazingly. The dirt just came right off and the mitt was easy to clean in the rinse bucket. I was impressed.

Here's some pics of my fun :)

Wow, that road looks pretty bad. A foam gun would def. come in handy after that excursion

I did manage to put a nice big scratch in one of my wheels and a scuff on the rear bumper. Some megs scratch-x took the scuff right out of the bumper, but the scratch on the wheel is a bit deeper. At least come spring I will get new wheels and the stockers will be delegated to snow wheels.

i also love my foam gun too. not only can you use it as a pre-soak, but you can use it while you're washing (two purposes to help aid in reducing marring/scratches). you can't do that with the foam cannon/lance...

The car is a 08 Subaru Impreza, it has AWD.

I had my wife get out and take pics, i did that hill 3 times and told her to pay particular attention to the wheel hoping to get a good shot of it off the ground.
