Finally finished this project for the dealer!

The paint was very thin and single stage, so extra care had to be used. And, I managed to burn through an edge on the lower front fender. We knew the car had been compounded over its' 20 year life and tried to be as careful as possible.

For products, I used Meguiar's #83 where there was some correction needed, followed by Meguiar's Color X for depth and further surface enhancement.

Finally, I applied a heavy coat of Meguiar's #26 with a pc and let it dry completely. THEN, I power washed the car to remove excess product from body seams, etc. While the car was wet, I removed the 26 with new mf towels. The dampness on top of the 26 acted like a quick detailer so there was no towel hazing.

While the car is not Concour's level, it's very nice for a 20 year old vehicle with 100,000 miles. It's going into the dealer's collection of M Series.

Ahhh, back when BMW made visceral raw cars. Great job, BMW to me died after the E39 M5, everything after that I have no interest in.

Another beautiful job from the hands of a master detailer.

Sweet, thats looks like the same scissor-lift that I have. Is it a Snap-On? That M5 looks sweet. I'll be doing one identical to it in the spring. Cheers

Usually I use my finger wrapped around a microfiber towel and hand apply the product. Door recess's, under tail light housings, under head lights etc. I'll typically use Menzerna 106FA or similar for this area.
