hey guys. I have an SSR here at my place that i have as long as i want. It has some very heavy swirling, that i removed using IP and 5.5" LCC White pad on my Rotary.

The IP left some very heavy swirls on the truck, which is to be expected, and i was planning on polishing them out with Nano(grey pad) and a 85rd(blue pad)..

However, after that, the Halograming is MUCH better, but there is still evidence of it being there??? finish polishing with nano and 85rd are being done at about 1200 rpm

I even tried IP on a green lcc pad then the nano 85rd after and it still remains?????

i need some serious advice...im stuck

Im gonna toss this on Autopia also to try and get soem asnwers fast...please help

I haven't had that problem with IP or SIP ever, even when using them with an orange pad, but then again I usually use them with a UDM and have only used SIP once with my rotary, but still did not have that problem. I'm honestly a bit stumped. The only thing I could think of would be to finish with nano or 85 on even lower speeds.

Start over, use your M105 with a wool pad and then work your way back up to a finish polish. Remember it might take several times with the medium polishes after the 105 to get correct than finish up with your finishing polish on a finishing pad.

this truck didnt need m105 tho, with ip it removed the defects in the paint...

why is the IP with a white foam pad leaving this heavy swirling???

im jsut sorta confused there on why id go to m105?

maybe the IP is not strong enough to remove what you w ant

You said it left swirls in the paint. Did it leave any type of swirls or only holograms? If there were only holograms the paint should be completely defect free minus the haziness. If not then the IP wasn't strong enough and you need to go with what killr said.

Finishing PO85RD down at 1200 sounds like your problem to me. You need to slow it down to about 900 to finish. That will give you a better hologram free finish.

I didnt finish it off at 1200, I slowed it down to the 900 and went over it a few times...shoudlt have clearifed that
