Does using a quick detailer before waxing mess up the bonding of the carnuba? My car sits a lot. I washed it last sunday, now it has some dust 5 days later. I wanted to apply my souveran, but I just used a QD a few hours ago.

If it has been sitting for 5 days I would wash it. You might induce some swirls by using the QD with 5 days of dust and dirt. This is the reason I love ONR. A car that is just dusty I will use 2 gallons water and one bucket and clean the car in a couple of minutes.

The car has been sitting in the garage connected to the battery tender. I put it there right after I washed it. No dirt, just dust(barely any). Thanks for the replys. I put the souveran on anyway.

why not presoak with a QD, and then use Optimum No Rinse to wash...

The car was not dirty. If it was, I would've just washed it. I just wanted to shine it up, and get some minor dust off. That's why I used the QD, not for primary cleaning. I just wanted to know if a QD affects the bonding, or curing, of a wax. The QD is a layer itself.

The first post had no mention of a car cover or garage. I imagined the car outside then
