I havent looked at my big rotary in a while, thought it was a dewalt, but its Actaully a Porter Cable... I Forgot its part number, but it has a speed wheel with 6 speeds(0-3000rpm) and all the features the others do.

NOW

Do all the others Makita, Dewalt etc, when you hit the trigger does it fire to 1300 etc RPM immediately, or does it build speed??

This Porter I have Builds speeds, doenst take long, only a few moments, and its up to speed...? Think it could be bad for polishing becasue of its slow start?

Anyone ahve any opinions or used one of these bad boys before? I cant find NOTHING online, they msut be D/C

opinins

7428 Thats what I use .Works great and the soft start helps to minimize product sling If I remember correctly I heard that it was made by the Flex company since Porter Cable I think used to own them at the time and it was discontinued when they split.

I use one too, I like it but it's heavier than the newer ones. Its made in Germany for PC by FLEX...does that make it cooler to ya, hehe
