well not really a wheel cleaner but hey it did the job better than anything else i tried. Good ol armor all cleaning wipes... incidentally discovered this today on my painted wheels, after using p21s gel which did a darn good job at getting most of the stuff off. moved on to another wheel cleaner to scrub and get the rest of the stuff off which left me dissapointed. i guess with a few more passes and some elbow grease i could get everything clean... but then i found one problem. a busted cv boot on my front wheel which covered the inner part of my wheel in grease. well needles to say figured i could just hit it with some degreaser and scrub it off, just to find out the it spread it even worse. now trying to find something in my house to get this grease off of my hands, grabbed some armor all wipes and it came right off. nothing else worked, degreaser, wheel cleaner, soap, name it... didnt work. proceded to take the wipes to the wheels to get the grease off... did the job fantastic. being a wipe i was able to get into the lug nut holes easily too. after trying numerous products i can say this does the damn thing for me. didnt get all the inbedded in dirt, but surface grime just wiped right up. dont know if this is safe for all wheels, the container said safe for all surfaces so.... figured id try it on the wheels. just thought id share

figured id go ahead and review the p1s gel while im in the mood to post.

first things first i do not like the sprayer it comes with... shoots out a sharp jet, id rather just sprat in on and let it soak... dont know if others spray it on to a rag and wipe it on, but that would just seem tedious. the sprayer allows you to waist more product than necessary.

my wheels were extremely dirty, being a bright sunny day i just sprayed it on waited like 20 minutes then sprayed it off. i was surprised at how much came off just from a spray on spray off. im normally scrubbing and scrubbing to get most of the dirt off. immediately im impressed with the results of my first time use.

i do have a few questions for other users as how they use this product.

what procedure do you use? do you just spray it on, leave sit the rinse off? do you spray it on scrub it in then let it sit, then spray off, or just what do you do.

next time around i figure im just going to take some other wheel cleaner (cheaper) scrub most of the dirt off. then dry it, spray the p21s gel and let it soak in the shade for a while to get the tougher dirt out.... any suggestions are more than welcome though

P21s (http://www.autogeek.net/p2wheelclean.html) is my favorite wheel cleaner. I have not had an issue with the sprayer. The one I have is adjutable so you can get it to spray how you desire. The 1z Einzett (http://www.autogeek.net/1z-einszett-wheel-cleaner.html) is pretty good too, an if the wheels are super dirty then PB Spray & Rinse (http://www.autogeek.net/pbsrwc32.html) can't be beat.

In my weekly wash I don't always use wheel cleaners because I usually apply a coat of PB Wheel Sealant (http://www.autogeek.net/pbws.html) once a month. So usually, I use soap and water and some brushes.

If the wheels need more then I'll use a wheel cleaner. I spray it on and let it sit for a minute or two. Then I scrub the wheels. I use two brushes: the EZ Brush (http://www.autogeek.net/ezdebrfca.html) and a Green Short Handled Brush (see the DP Brake Dust kit (http://www.autogeek.net/severe-brake-dust.html)).

I love the P21S also ... and yes it needs a little agitation but much safer than other acid based cleaners. I spray, wait, agitate, and rinse even on my uncoated wheels. The sprayer does stream with anything more than the tinest of twists, but can be set to spray. My only complaint is the hose line actually is larger than the bottle so towards the bottom you must align the bottle to wheel to get every last spray.

I too like P21S but have chosen the gel. I only use it every few months as I apply two or more coats of Wolfgang sealent when I clean my wheels which is done with the wheels off the car. Dirt and whatever else gets picked up on my wheels just comes off completly with the Poor Boys soap between major cleanings. Both those products are great and I highly recommend them.
