I did my car up this weekend as follows after washing and claying:

1.) DG 501 via PC white polish pad at speed 3.5

2.) After 24 hr cure apllied DG 601 by hand and let haze

3.) Applied DG 105 over hazed 601 by hand, let sit 30 minutes and removed by hand.

Now for my question. I know many apply up to 3 coats of DG 105, and in between coats use FC&S. I dont have FC&S but do have ONR(qd strength) and Optimum OID. Which do you all think would be best to use between coats? I do have Aquawax and my thinking was to use the ONR which I feel cleans a bit better than OID, then Aquawax, then the next coat of 105. I have read that FC&S or Aquawax between coats of 105 amps it up a bit. Thanks in advance for tips....

Go right to the source. Email the guys at Duragloss. They are real good at responding.

you do not need to add any QD between 105..We use FC&S just to clean the paint some after a wash and then do 105 again..FC&S has a little cleaning action and it gets what the shampoo will not get off the paint before applying another coat of 105...

all you need is 2 coats of 105 to ensure you covered all areas....then you can add AW the next day after the 105 has cured up...then you can use a QD weekly if needed or wanted...I use AW monthly and the Marine Detailer weekly after a wash....

Any more than 1 coat your wasting it.Yep.

You might do two coats, one right after the other just to ensure coverage, but more than one or two coats is wasting your product.
