when do i use the mixture of 50/50 alcohol and water? and what does it do? am i doing something wrong?
wash
clay
wolfgang total swirl
p21s paintworks cleaner
wolfgang paint sealant

where in the steps do i use 50/50 alcohol wipe down?
do i wipe down after i use wolfgang total swirl?
or do i wipe down after i use the p21s paintworks cleaner?
and if i use it after the p21s paintworks cleaner wouldn't it remove the little filling abilities that p21s have?
Feed back please

You do this after any type of polishing, in your case after the total swirl remover. What this dioes is remove any polish that is filling anything in and so you can tell the true surface while you are working. If all the swirls, scratches are gone you move on to the next part of the vehicle. No need to do this after the paint cleaner.

I'm no pro, but can the IPA wipedown also help ensure oils and such left by the polish are removed (as best as IPA can do)? Just thinking of some sealants/waxes that don't play well with polish residue.

i see so the 50/50 wipe down is for inspection of the swirl removal process, so you can see the progress of the swirls being removed.

Yes and it leaves the paint oil free for your LSP.

Yep oils left behind by polishing will actually fill defects and make you think you got desired results when in fact all you did was fill. The filling in not the intention of the polishes but the lubrication oils. The IPA wipe down will insure whet you see after the polishing process actually is paint correction and not filling.

Should you do an ISP wipedown after wolfgang finishing polish 3.0? What im asking is are there oils like in the non abrasive glazes that i would want to leave on?

What is the best way to do a 50/50 wipedown ? Spray on and wipe off with MF ?

Some say it is best to spray onto your MF then wipe to keep from hitting any plastic that could fade.

Boy oh boy....

I learn something new here each day. All this time I thought the 50/50 rubdown was a double shot each of branchwater and a good scotch topped off with a Thai massage AFTER the detail was done.
