I've never clay'd any of my cars before but I went out and got a claymagic bar and lube kit. I don't have a PC or any sealent so a coat of wax after claying should suffice correct? The car is a garage queen that sees maybe 3k a year and will be in storage again in a couple months (thanks to the midwest's lovely weather) so my actual full full detail will be in the spring. I'm goin to get a PC kit and have at it then.

It's best to polish after claying, as there's oftentimes micro-marring as a result of the claying step. If you want to clean an area well after claying to determine if polishing is necessary you can always do that and if no marring then go straight to wax.

all cars should be clayed and polished as possible. You can always use a glaze for filling temporarily until your machine order is possible. It will hide light flaws temporarily.

You can wax after claying, but claying does induce marring.

so if claying induces marring is there another way to get those containments out without marring the paint

You could try a paint cleaner before waxing.

This is an option but, you should polish after claying.
