I think they are pollen or something, perhaps from palm trees but they look like orange specs on the paint. Take it off the paint and it seems like a powder.

My question does anyone have some tips or tricks on taking these things off? What is the fastest way to do this when the car is covered in the little buggers?

There was a thread over a year ago where everyone tried to figure out what those orange specs are. Got ideas from bug droppings to tree droppings to jet fuel droppings. Never got a "for sure" positive answer.
I just give them a pre wash spray with bug squash. Works OK.

could even be sap .... try to soak with Bug Squash from Poorboys and then it should remove rather easily. It works well for me on most items including pollen, tar, and sap.

Yeah the reason I ask is I work at a dealership and was wondering if anyone knew a secret method on quick removal of these buggers. Right now, my best method is by fingernail or clay but neither are as fast as I would like.

I was thinking, is that Pinnacle Bug Sponge REALLY effective at it? As in would it be able to remove them completely in just a pass or two; from what I gather, I am almost better off just sticking to the fingernail or clay method.

The other Porter that I am trying to teach some basic laws of detailing. Rest assured I use clay though it doesn't take it off as fast as I would like, which is why I am asking.
