I have just removed some side stripes from my car, they came off the plastic bumpers and left no glue but on the metal panels all the glue stayed on the paint, just wondering what i can use to remove it? What would be the best way?

Well i tried a few things a couple of different "Goo" removers which didn't do much, then i tried some Eucalyptus Oil and it worked a treat!

And yeah i did a search but the stuff suggested either didn't work or i couldn't get any.

3M Wax and Adhesive Remover ... usually can find at Pepboys locally.

use a hair dryer to heat the glue a lil bit, some 3m adhesive remover and plastic razor

The heat gun and plastic razor worked to get the stripe off but not the glue. The Eucalyptus Oil did work however. Getting 3M stuff in Perth, Australia isn't easy especially on sunday as all the shops are closed.

Have you tried clay on the glue! Just a thought, I use it once on a similar problem!

I've had success with "Goof Off". Another thing you could try is Rubbing Alcohol.

Wd 40 does a pretty good job taking glue off the hard surfaces.

I have also used "goof off" for sticker removal and a razor blade.

Goof Off worked great for me taking off some gum and paint overspray. Letting it sit a minute lessens the rubbing.
