Since my sisters car was having some problems I had to loan her one of mine and go and pick hers up (what a joy driving back home :o). After I got it fixed I thought I would give it a "quick" detail (wash/vacuum) which turned into a pain, lol. I think this is the first time the cars been cleaned since she got it when she was 16.

How I got the car.

My wash supplies. Emptied the rinse bucket twice.

I tried to get a pic of how dirty the car was as I was washing it, you can kind of see the line in the center of the picture. (the bottom half of the door was unwashed)

The water drops on the car is b/c it rained last night.

I know I missed some things (didn't get a chance to shampoo the carpets or seats, so yes there still stained) as I am no where near happy with the way it turned out, but she came early to get it so I had to do what I could. Cleaning the carpets took me a while as I had to vacuum, brush, repeat like 5 times. Luckily I got her floor mats when she bought the car or else I think I would have just got new carpet, lol. The lint on the dash is from the cheap MF towels I was using. All together I think it turned out 100% better then it was. When I get a chance again (sister is a few hours away) I am going to shampoo/polish the car. Hopefully it stays half way clean so I don't have to redo my work next time, lol. I'm done!

Nice job and I can appreciate the effort. I just did a buddy's full size GMC extend cab 4x4 for his birthday that was in just about as bad of shape as your sister's car.

Great job, considering how much time you had to get the deed done!
Reminds me of the job I did on the wife's minivan... I'm having flashbacks to about 20 cupholders in that condition :buffing: and things in the carpet and door panels that have yet to be identified!

WOW is all I can say, you should by her a small trash can to keep in the car, instead of using all floorboards LOL. Every nice of you to do that, I bet she was VERY surprised!

Thanks guys for all the kind words. I'm just hoping it stays half way clean till the next time I see it. But I doubt it, lol, being in a sorority and everything now.

For wash I used duragloss 901 along with Meguiars APC 4:1 for wheel wells/tires/lower body panels.

Inside it was mostly the shop vac (this took a lot of the time), Meguuiars APC 4:1.

Those were the only products I really used. The whole process probably took me about 10 hours (yes I know a long time for just a wash/vacuum).
