I was just wondering if I have to wait for a sealant to cure(12 hrs) before I top with a wax? Thanks for your input:)

Yes. A sealant needs to cure in order to properly bond to your paint. 18 to 24 hours is the recomended time to wait. Sure you can top it immediately, but you will sacrifice looks and durability. Be patient and give it a day to bond properly.

What sealant are you using? If you are using something that you feel needs a wax topper in order for it to look better, you might want to look at a new sealant. I top UPP, Detailer's Pride, and Klasse with carnauba, but Wolfgang stands alone. The only thing I ever top Wolfgang with is more Wolfgang.

I'm using DP. Is WG that much better?

Yes, WG is great and does look great alone.
I have topped sealants w/ nubas right afterwards numerous times with no ill effect I have been aware of, but by all means wait the sealer cure time out, usually 12-24 hours.

Wolfgang is a very nice sealant, very close to the best carnauba...

Shield Shine -- brighter more reflective

Wolfgang --- warmer and glossy looking

Ok, the DP Shield Shine was on for approximately 16 hrs before it got wet from rain. Do you think I'm ok or do I need to reapply? Thanks.

It should be fine, but might as well add another layer!

I would wait 24 hrs. I have become anal about keeping it dry during that time if I am not using a garage, I would do it in the morning to keep the dew from hindering the curing of sealants. I do not worry about the wax as much on the cure.

I was thinking the same thing;)

I think anything more than 12 hours is just being safe. I suspect most sealants cure quite a bit quicker like 4-8 hours and can probably be speeded in the sun and heat.
