Hi all. Just joined the forum a few days ago. Looking for some advice.

I have a 2001 Bullitt in Dark Highland Green. The paint is in what I would call very good condition. Has the occassional swirl and maybe a little micro marring, but that's about it. I have been maintaining it with Meg's #80, #7, and #26. Well, I have recently decided to step up to some better products. I have been considering the Wolfgang Swirl Remover Kit (http://www.wolfgangcarcare.com/wolfgang-swirl-remover-kit.html) topped with Poorboys Natty's Paste Wax - Blue (http://www.autogeek.net/nattys-blue.html).

After joining this community, I have seen where several folks have had great results with the Duragloss products. Well, DG is made in my home town by Brother's Research. I can pick up pretty much any of their products less than a block down the road from my work. So, is there a DG combo that would produce the same deep wet look that the WG/Natty's combo would on my DHG paint?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Here are a couple pics of the B. Not the best angles or lighting, but.........

if you want polishes, go with menzerna sip and 106ff... sip with orange pad, then 106ff with white then i think blue...

DG combo would have to be 106/601!!! Amazing stuff right there, then use Aquawax in btwn washes!!!

501 to clean then topped with 105. Or 601 then 105. You can even just do the 105 by itself; it gives a nice deep wet look.

That may be the gallon size of 105. But I'm sure D2G means 105 and forgets that not all of us buy the gallons. :D

Thanks for the replies guys. Does 501 have any ability to remove minor swirls and micro-marring, or is it strictly a paint cleanser? I'm looking for something that I can use to remove (not hide) all of the minor defects and produce a slick, deep, wet look.

Also, what pads/speed (PC) would be used to apply these products?

Thanks!

sorry, I get mixed up with the numbers. Basically the Bonding Agent, followed by Total Performace Polish... use blue or red pads to apply both. Apply the bonding agent round speed 2-3, then immediately apply Total Performance Polish, do not buff off Bonding Agent prior to application of TPP.

Let sit for about 20-30 mins then buff off!!!

The 501 is a great cleaner, not so much on the correction portion of it... may remove micro-marring, use green pad. speed 3-4

Thanks guys appreciate the clarification. Seems like a one week course to learn all the short term here.

iv heard people say that u can use Optimum poli-seal for minor correction.just use a semi agressive pad.Poli-seal isnt very pricey either.for a gallon is 39.99.from what iv seen people have also said its a very good paint cleaner as well and if u dont have the time to apply a wax or sealant u can go with out because poli-seal does give some protection.as far as duragloss products go aqua wax,501, and 105 are popular products that are used.aqua wax is used after a regular wash.

After you have the car swirl free I would use 501 topped with 111
