Just took delivery on a Silver 2008 Honda Accord < 100 miles. Before applying Klasse High Gloss Seal and Pinnacle Souveran Wax should I clay the paint, apply Klasse all-in-one, both, or something different?

:whs: With the possible exception that I don't think you need to re-wash after claying if you're going to use K-AIO before the HG

Wouldnt the clay leave dried up smears all over the paint?

I have been using Meguiars Clay with Quick Detailer as lube and after I wipe with a MF towel there has been very very little to usually no residue left. I would wash the car then feel the paint with your hand if you can feel that it is rough I would use the clay.

not if used properly ... clay should not be grinded into paint. You allow it to float on the surface and when it studders you work that area (back and forth) time smooth.

with the .... wash - clay - wash - klasse - sourvern sequence I assume the klasse step is deep gloss not all-in-one?

I also got a new car and was planning on
wash->clay->klasse HG->wax

For the first time I figured I have no need of AIO (I'll probably pick up a bottle in a couple months).

Also, I've never felt that clay left any residue on the car necessitating a second washing.

job complete and turned out great here were the steps...

wash / clay / wash (i figured it wouldn't hurt even if not needed) / klasse HG / overnight wait / souveran paste.

The klasse HG goes on really thin, you really feel that you aren't applying enough.

Did you use WOWO or follow the AG site instructions?

I wash again after clay due to the lubricant. It very well may not change the end product, but why chance it when washing the second time only takes about 20 minutes.
