Hi

Can the Optimum polish/compound be used in direct sunlight? I may not always be able to get the car into the garage. Will be using a rotary. Thanks Ron Herndon

I have heard of a few people using Optimum Polish in hot direct sunlight without any issues, and I would imagine the Compound would be the same considering both products have very long working times. Just be careful with how hot the paint gets.

i'd venture to guess yes. man, the Optimum stuff is SO flexible; the compound especially; it's pretty well lubed so i don't see it causing issues in the sun, but def keep an eye on surface temps when working it. Dave will say it's pretty safe stuff, esp. as you work it, but it def heats up as it works.
