Hey all,

Been busy and haven't been able to do too many details lately, but I have been able to work on one of my hobbies..photography. I love shooting sports and I got my D300 last December and have been chomping at the bit for baseball season to start. I was hoping the faster fps & focusing over my D70 would allow me to get some good shot this year...and it didn't let me down. Here are some of my favorite shots so far:

Those are great pics! How big of a difference did you notice regarding shooting and focusing speeds between the 2 cameras?

Thanks I'm using a Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 AF-S lens and some of the shots are with a 1.4x teleconverter.

The D300 focusing and tracking is incredible, plus the fps is 8 compared to the 3fps on the D70.

The third shot above is from a burst after he hit the ball. I was able to track and keep him in focus the whole way to first.

great pics man! The last two are classic! So much for "keep your eye on the ball"!! Looks like you can do it with your eyes closed as well!! lol

Very nice. I have a Rebel XT, which is a far cry from a D70 or D300, but it's a huge step up from the Kodak point and shoot I have. I'm amazed at the pictures it takes sometimes.

The last two are priceless. It doesn't look like he's gonna get a piece of that ball.

The last picture: you can almost read the writing on the ball. Great pictures.

Thanks and the shot where he was closing his eyes was after he hit it. It was actually a great hit in between left/center.

Thanks it took some practice and timing but I was finally able to nail a few shots like that.

Tell me about it...he actually hits really well and I ask him all the time "how do you hit the ball with your closed. :D
