I always enjoy detailing this car....it is owned by a very good friend of mine and I often help him clean it up. However, since getting it repainted (a VERY impressive paint job especially for the price he paid...it's hard to find good work like this out of local shops around here), I haven't gotten my hands on it. The car was clayed a few months ago, and surprisingly enough, the paint was still smooth (as I mentioned, the car is not garage kept so this was surprising to me).

Anyways, the swirls were not as bad as I expected. While the detailers at this body shop did not do a great job buffing, I would say it is better than average since the swirls were pretty mild, unlike most other repaints. No sanding scratches, holograms, etc.

For swirl removal, I used the new WG 3.0 polishes. Total Swirl Remover 3.0 with an orange LC pad, and Finishing Glaze 3.0 with a white polishing pad. Both polishes were used with the Flex VRG3401 on the highest speed. Since some people requested a polycharged UPP durability test, I decided to use that as an LSP.

On with the BEFORE pics...

OK so the first thing I noticed, is the new UPP is considerably thicker in consistency than the older formula. Ease of use was the same, but it seemed to dust a little bit more. Not a big deal by any means...still extremely easy to use compared to most other products. Slickness is off the charts. Since this car sits outside it will be a good test for durability...I'm going to try to have him bring it over every Saturday for a wash / durability update.

I don't think he will mind stopping in for a free wash every week... heck I know where you live, what time every Saturday! :D

That's beautiful Matt. A dripping wet cherry.
I love the reflection of the red stop sign in the red paint.
