I am the owner of a brand new suburban ltz. My question is if I can polish it or do I need to give the paint some more "cure" time? I was told by a friend that I could not polish or wax it for 6 months.

Factory paint is 100% cured by the time it hits the dealers lot! Polish/wax away! :buffing:

Yep.... You can polish right now. Factory paint is applied with a very different process than after-market paint.

I would clay it and then finish polish as possible and set the paint right for your normal detailing ritual. As offered paint is long cured prior to vehicle for sale at local lot.

Time to; Wash-Clay-Polish-Protect.

So for new cars and the Polish-Protect portion would WGPPE followed by WGDG sealant work?
Suggestions are appreciated.
