I was looking at using Meg APC (10:1) sprayed all over the egine, then hosed off, use a brush and towels to get into the tight areas, dry, then some CD-2, for the paint use some ONR as a QD followed with Duragloss AW?
I was also thinkin of removing the alt, blet and battery as it only takes 10 minutes tops. I need to replace my spark plug wires and put the new ones on using looms to give it the real clean look, so I was thinking while the wires are off I should fill the spark plug holes with tin foil as I clean the engine? Any other pointers or other products I should use?

I hate the thought of forced water and solvents used in engine bay, as lots of damage could happen. I have seen some run the motor while spraying down to avoid water in those bad areas, but unsure that really works.

I keep mine up monthly and using Klasse AIO on painted parts, and 303 (non silicone dressing) on plastics and lines. A small can of compressed air works in some areas also.

You could go visit the thread for the best engine detail and get some ideas.

I was thinkin of the water being sprayed on the timing case cover and on the hood.
What would you suggest for cleaning the intake and heads? Can I use the diluted APC with a rag and or brushes?

This is a little off topic, but is that a 4.6 Cobra motor? What happened to the intake cover?

I think that should work ... I used DP Exterior Cleaner diluted and several rags when doing a friends car a couple months back. I just am not comfortable with streaming water.

Nope it is a 4.6DOHC Lincoln Mark VIII motor.
from 93-98 the Mark VIII used this motor, in 97 the motor received a new intake and COP.
96 SVT used the DOHC put in a better crank, different cams and a different intake and put that into the Cobra. So essentially the cobra has a Mark VIII engine lol
The intake from 93-96 has no cover, the TB is on the back of the engine facing up kinda dumb but this intake flows very nicely.
