Went over to Nissan yesterday to get eyes on the new FRONTIER HARBODY truck. Nice truck. Based off an SV with many retro touches.

Then there it was in the delivery bay. A brand new NISMO Z. OMG Nissan nailed it on the latest gen. of the Z. Just seeing this car there was no doubt. Every angle of this car is stunning! A work of art.

I think it's a very nice car, not offering it with a manual is a misstep though[emoji6]

Funny, I didn't know they were doing a retro Z-car, I agree with Klasse, if you're going to do a retro at least offer a manual.

What great about the car is this, they're keeping the name, didn't do it wrong (besides no manual for the NISMO) and this last bit...IT IS A CAR[emoji120]

Much love for my Xterra. I did like that vehicle.

I think that will be the downfall for the NISMO. The lower trim Z's aren't really competitive with the Supra from a pure performance standpoint and now they have a package that might be really competive, they make it really expensive and ditch the manual. A couple of big missteps by Nissan IMO.

On a related note, has anyone actually seen the latest generation Z on the road? I've not seen a single one anywhere in the US I've been since it's come to market. I know they've had production issues, so the numbers of vehicles sold are pretty small, but I thought I'd have at least seen one by now.

The base Z has 400hp vs the 420 in the NISMO and torque is 350 vs 385. If the existing manual transmission they use in the base Z can't hand an additional 20hp and 35 ft/lbs of torque, I'd be really worried about the durability of that transmission if it's running that close to max tolerances.

AND it's a sports car! A double win. The automotive world seems to be forgetting what fun to drive cars are about and spitting out more trucks and boring SUV's. I applaud any automaker who will still build and try to sell cars and perforance cars. I don't care if it's a partnership with an automaker. Just keep making them!

NOPE! Not here in Central Ohio or even where I've been traveling. Lots of the newer cars are scarce on the roads. IMO the Nissan is just way overpriced for what it is. They all are anymore but then so are eggs and milk. LOL!

In my mind I’d like to think I’ve seen one but as a former 350z and g37 owner I’d like to think I would distinctly remember it….
