I've been wanting to get undercarriage when I've been cleaning engines and it's just been impossible to get underneath! I recently did a large F150 and the customer received it as a gift from his father in law and really wanted it cleaned underneath as well! He wanted it to be spotless so he could service any leaks. The motor was untouched for 21 years. It wasn't much harder than any other motor detail. But I really felt it needed a better job underneath. Than just a pressure washer blind! The top turned out amazing! But I just couldn't stop thinking of what it looked like underneath:buffing:
So I went ahead and ordered this jack I've had my eyes on for quite a while. I was curious if anyone had experience with a 3 ton jack? Can I just lift it from the middle to lift it even or will I have to do one side at a time?

Obviously I want to just lift it from the middle, But I'm hoping someone can give me some input? It's a 3 ton Triple air jack with a lift of 17.7 inches.
Thank you all in advance:dblthumb2:

Been watching allot of videos on it and it will really get it high enough when using a block. Then use jack stands. I'll post up my next job!

I’ve been thinking of this. I’ll be honest bought a set of quick jacks and they’ve been sitting for a while.

They lock into place and ar suppose to be pretty safe. I would use these for safety

Found theses at Harbor Freight and there the ideal height almost 24" and it's cool there ratcheting. So I'll I will need a few 4" blocks And Ill have 24" inches of lift to get under there. Not to mention a great way to do rims if ever I get a wheel stand.

i hope one day My business has grown enough to grab a set. Only problem is I built an office in the back and the room is to short to have a full car inside. I've always been eyeing them thought. There are the best show in town!

I'm only 20% done (waiting for him to get to the HF aluminum which I happen to have among others), but I like this guy, talks fast, doesn't waste your time like most of the YouTubers.

Do you have a decent sized compressor for that air jack ?

If you don't have one, I'd get a 2 ton Long Reach Jack from HF ( not too sure if the Super Duty is Low Profile Long Reach)

These Jack Stands are based off the original designer of AC Hydraulic. These are the jackstays to get

Not the ratcheting time, but the positive lock IMO

$30 extra is money well spent[emoji106]
I’m grabbing them tomorrow! I just bought a whole new compressor that was the smallest I could find with the specs of compressors 3X’s the size.

With a 4X4 block will be perfect to get it up to 21" Which will be more than sufficient to have the room I need.

I would defiantly go this route for cars only. But 1200lbs. capacity is a bit light for larger trucks. Perfect if they made them larger with more capacity.
