I am religiously using what cordless I have. My XFE 15 150 60% of the time and my 3 inch Shinemate. Which I have absolutely fell in love with. I will be adding the EB 351 5/15 as soon as I can spare the $217 since I already have a 2 battery charger and three batteries. Anyone thinking of trying a shinemate, I promise you won't be disappointed! I actually enjoy the Shinemates better than all my Rupes. I have also noticed that Sandro from Car Craft Auto Detailing is using them more and more.

You enjoy the Shinemate over the Rupes mainly because of the lack of cord? Or other factors?
I’ve been thinking of picking up a Rupes 15mm but what’s the cordless alternative? I can get polishers at a discount.

I love the mechanics better. I like the smoothness and the cordless is the must have reason. I can't believe that Rupes hasn't joined the cordless game in there larger polishers! I have the Flex Forced cordless, and I feel on softer painter or thinner paint that my it just might be a little on the aggressive side. After using my 3 inch Shines mate for 6 hours today on all the curves on the 47 that I just fell in love with it! The Shinemates have had nothing but excellent reviews across the board. The Shinemate EB31 is burning a hole in my pocket and can't wait to pull the trigger!

I have no issues using my 3401 (I don't mind the cord), the power of the cord is not to be compared with the battery power, I hope we agree on this.

Shinemate is relatively new product which I tested on 1 car and find it performs well, especially with the 15mm throw, but decided to go with Makita DPO600 - Just a moment... (https://www.makita.com.au/building-construction/category/sanders-polishers/dpo600z-18v-brushless-150mm-6-random-orbit-polisher)

And I never looked back, cordless wise.

Of course, this is only my 2 cents ..

I have the EB351 5/15 and 3/12 and really like them. I'm not using them professionally/daily so my experience may differ to constant professional use.

From what I can gather, Rupes are on it, but I really don't know what they are so late to the party with bigger battery machines. I guess they want to keep selling the corded versions to recoup their investments?

quick question for those who own any shinemate polisher(s), do the speed settings click on each setting?

They don't click but at least there accurate! My Flex doesn't go faster after 4. I'm thinking of calling them!

eldo, here's another cordless option that's available in both 15mm/21mm. good reviews across the board as well. the advantage these have is that you can use makita batteries..

I’ve seen that brand. They’ve got alot of detailing stuff across the board. I looked into their Rupes Nano clone and it seems kinda worth considering if one really felt like buying that kind of polisher.

Thanks again for the info.

I went all in on the Flex cordless units. Makes it much more enjoyable for me, a hobbyist.

XFE, XCE, and PXE.

Have both cordless ones and they are by far my favorite polishers. I use the PXE strictly for 2" And my Shinemate EB351 for 3"
