Hey guys,

What the best way to move cigarette smoke odor? We bought a car a year ago with quite a bit of cigarette smoke residual.

I spent about 2 days detailing the car: changing the cabin filter, blowing out and vacuuming out the vents, scrubbing the headliner, leather seats, carpets, plastics, even the trunk. Smelled a lot better, but still, the cigarette smoke persists, particularly if it's a hot day, or a humid day .

I presume the smell comes from underneath the seats, from the carpet and the seats themselves. I did not remove the seats during cleaning .

Is an ozone generator the answer? I've been thinking of buying $100 ozone generator from Amazon, but don't know if this will do the trick .

Thoughts?

I had a similar problem with one of my previous vehicles when I bought it, the previous owner had obviously smoked in it everyday. I used these 2 products from Nextzett, although they were Einzett at the time. One is like a bug bomb, with engine on, running full aircon on recirculation, you set it off and leave it sealed up and running for about 20 minutes. The other has long tubes you feed down the vents and spray. It did get rid of the cigarette smell, best description of the odour left behind was clean and clinical. That dissipated after a few days. After that I could only smell whatever car scent I was using.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230808/b35523266d5f22354a53e5805b9ef498.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230808/1ba513f5aeefb61fe711783b2a32e2f9.jpg

Thanks guys, sounds like several good options! Do you suppose one is better than the others?

So does ozone not do the job?

I've used both Ozone and the chlorine dioxide tablets in my house.

The tablets worked way better.

But wear a respirator. It's no joke

I have had my eye on this unit.I have been wanting to do a neighbors car that she chain smokes in and If I end up doing it I will give it its ultimate test! If it works I'll keep! I know if it work decent on her car it's a staler investment. Otherwise
they have a no questions ask policy.
