The wife and I bought a 2019 blue BMW X3 M40i. I polished the paint beautifully 2 months ago and applied a go to sealant. This cars paint EASILY etches from bird poop or bug guts. It drives me insane!!

I think I’m finally ready to make the jump to a ceramic coating I think lol.

What’s the easiest to apply and will put a nice, strong, resistant coating to bug guts and bird poop (as best as it can)?

I read a lot about can coat but can’t remember its resistance to bug guts.

Thoughts?

I've had really good luck with meguiar's hybrid paint coating and bird bombs. I even let bird bombs bake in for the sake of "science". Didn't have one etch until around 11 months in. That was with a single layer, I imagine 2 layers would net better resistance. Also, it's stupid easy to apply.

CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 is really resistant to bugs and bird droppings.

We make frequent road trips across several states in the mid-west and when we're done the vehicles are in pretty terrible shape. Each time, all the bug mess washes right off. I've also left my car in the lot at the airport and returned to find multiple droppings all over it. No idea how long they were on the car, but each time it washed off without any etching.

From what I'm seeing at the moment, CQUK 3.0 seems to be more resistant to these types of threats than Pure EVO.

That's impressive! Stupid easy sounds like my type of way! :)

Nice! Hows the application of said product? Is it user friendly/dumb proof for dummies like me? LOL

It's not hard. Just take your time and don't take any short cuts. Give yourself plenty of time on a day when the weather is cool-ish. There are plenty of good video's to watch that walk you through how to look for stuff like when the product flashes indicating time to remove it.

Sounds good!

It's too damn hot here in Northern Virginia to do that for sure (97 degrees outside right now!).

Yeah, you want to wait. I wouldn't even think about applying a coating until September, maybe October. My best experiences have been when temps are below 80F.
