Recently I have had a flurry of SUV's with weathered trim and bumpers bad! I have been dialing in my technique with this stuff and have been getting amazing results. By no means is it my favorite product to work with. Compered to a Hyper dressing etc. But it sure hits it out of the park!!! I have been using a plain white cotton towel cut in 1/4 strips for the most part. But at times a small coating applicator works on more intricate spots. I also saw a great video from Brian @ Apex testing all the bumper renewal products out:9 Way Plastic Trim Restore/Protectant Comparison!! 1 YEAR UPDATE!! - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Igo7o3vldZ0)

I have a bottle and use it when needed. I found cheap makeup sponges work as the best applicators for those small pieces

It's great stuff. IME, don't -top- it. Others may disagree but I once topped with with a trim coating, and it went from that nice sating black to a mildish black grey tone.

I use it and like it. After a few washes I usually top it with a spray sealant. I am reluctant to use a ceramic coating in the event i wanted to reapply. I use Opti-Seal on it usually.

I have a bottle of Solution Grey and it works great. I don’t see how topping it with some form of protection would be a good idea. It is protection.

Nice man. It’s a great product to restore trim. Check out their sealant over the top to add some more protection and keep that look longer.

Don’t put a ceramic on it. Chris West has stated many times why not.

I've got a bottle I need to use.

I tried cleaning my plastic trim 100 different ways and still can't get all the white (wax? Polish?) residue off before using the Solution Finish

I've tried:
Griots Rubber prep
Carpro Eraser
Optimum Power Clean full strength + drill brush

Not sure what else I can try...

Not all plastic trim is created equal. Sometimes no amount of cleaning will get it “ideal” as far as the prep. Sometimes it is prepped even though it doesn’t quite look totally prepped, but it is.

Yes.

And Solution Finish is a dye. It hides a lot of imperfections.
