I would do a test spot with both and go from there. Maybe try a 50/50 mix and see how that goes?

I was thinking the same using one panel as an ''experiment''.

I doubt there will be any big difference, as the paint is so slinky after the Mohs Evo .. the water just fly off.

If it were me, I would use the Gyeon product, although I would love to hear how the BSD works on a ceramic coating.

The Sonax label seems ok with all types of coating

Fellow forum member Loach tested out BSD on top of a coating and it played nicely. Sure it lacks in slickness but the hydrophobics are pretty impressive.

I really appreciate his advise to fully let the coating mature, before applying any toppers .. he is mentioning 1 month+. That really makes sense.

As my coating is not even a month old, I'll let it mature a bit longer.

Any further thoughts on this topic guys ?!?

This is a great point. From what I've seen of Mohs Evo on our vehicle, anything you put on the coating will likely reduce the water behavior, not enhance or equal it. I'm not easily impressed, but I find it pretty impressive. Even my beloved ECH2O probably isn't as good.

Yes. It's hard to imagine that any other product than the Mohs Evo can offer better water ''behavior''.

At least I haven't' seen anything like that before.

Markus Kleis (former meguiar's employee) has stated that Meguiar's M799 hybrid ceramic bead booster was designed to never take a step backwards in regards to hydrophobic properties. Meguiar's hybrid ceramic detailer shares similar chemistry and after using it as a topper I am inclined to believe his statement.

M788 has been discontinued. My guess is due to the price of $79.99 for a 1 year coating didn't appeal to a lot of people and they came out with hybrid paint coating.

Why Game? CQ UK is still a good product.

Sonax BSD works great in my experience with 3-4 different ceramic coating brands i've used.

The OP here.

Nearly 1 year after - it still looks amazing ..

I dare to say ceramic coating is superior to any wax (Collie 845 was my favorite) in terms of look and durability !
