I don’t know if this eventually happens to all Flexzilla hoses over time, but it definitely happened to 1 of mine. It became dingy, dirty, embedded with stains and totally lost that neon green Flexzilla appearance that 1st drew me towards wanting to buy it in the 1st place. I’ve been wanting to do something about it for a while and today was the day.

Here’s a side by side 50/50 showing how dirty my hose was and you can see why I had to do something about it. The good news is that it’s super easy to clean it and get it back to looking like new.

Just fill a bucket with water and grab yourself a Magic Eraser and get it wet then ring out most of the water, then spray the pad with some diluted APC [I use Megs D101 @ 10:1] and go along the hose, section at a time just like if you were using a wash mitt to scrub the hose with the eraser followed by a microfiber towel to wipe up the remaining mess until you’re done cleaning the entire length of the hose.

The bucket looked like extractor water when I was done.

The good thing is my Flexzilla looks like new again. Flexzilla Green. The way it should. I like it.[emoji4]

So if your hose looks like it’s seen better days, now you know how easy it is to make it look brand new again.[emoji1365]I’m thinking of wiping the hose down with some Meguiars Ultimate Spray wax that I’ve had on my shelf unused in forever just to see if it makes a difference and maybe helps protect it. I dunno it’s just a thought.

Dude, you are my sort of people! I wipe my air/water/pressurewasher flexzilla hoses down with M40 and it does ok, but I’ll give them a proper cleaning via this method soon. Great post!

It may dry a hose out overtime, but I've always had good luck with electrical contact cleaner and a shop rag. Soak the rag and pull the hose through two times.
