I really would like to retire my Tornador for cleaning interior and get a nice Carpet extractor. Most likely the Mytee 8070.

You don’t like the Tornador?

Love it! Just seems it would be better to use it for everything but upholstery and carpet. And that's what I want an extractor for. Tornador rules for interior though. Hands down in my book!

I don't have much -fabric- in the cars these days. Been using Tuxmat in all the last few cars.
Anyhow, I do love the Sapphire Upholstery wand for the extractor. It's well worth the cost when doing upholstery/carpets

I’ve always been under the impression that a Tornador is like a super weapon when it comes to really stepping it up in the vacuum department.

Yes there awesome. But slow for upholstery carpet cleaning. There strength is 1st run on those. Finish with extractor. There great at headliners also.

What about in times where you just need a thorough vacuum and not going to scrub or extract the carpets? Those times where it’s a matter of sand/dust, not particularly dirt/stains. Is that what the Tornador is best at? How about various drill brushes used in collaboration with a vacuum. Do you ever use that method?

What about an air compressor for just high powered air? I’ve always struggled to wrap my head around how blowing out an interior is somehow productive and the air compressor as a whole being a must have tool for a mobile detailer. Btw I do have a blower.

I know that’s alot of questions, but I currently don’t use any of those options and get by, but I hear alot of talk from people about how valuable each of those options are and I’m trying to get opinions from real people.

This is where the Tornador shines. I would be the first real user of it to say get one! And since you need an air compressor to run one, I will also say the compressor is a key tool for me. I use it to obviously run the Tornador. But it's what I use for the dash Wheel and column. Plus the seems in the seats(sand & debris) Use it for blowing out pads.
I do use a soft drill brush on Upholstery and carpet. It's also a great tool.
One thing I need to upgrade is my pancake air compressor. I need a compressor that blows 4.5CFM minimum. The Tornador likes constant 90psi.
But you can get by with a small one like mine for a while! I paid like $150 for it. The one I want is Amazon.com (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LLBPSRK/?coliid=I3S5JGKXVPYFIF&colid=SVO1M1JBY9NE&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it)

The Tornador you’re talking about is the 1 that sounds like a little pig, right? It snorts as it churns and spins. Lol.

As far as compressors, what are your thoughts on that Ridgid compressor that has 2 tubes that look like a scuba divers backpack. You know which 1 I mean right?

Thx for the reply. That’s what I thought you’d say and that’s good because it helps reassure some things that I’ve had in mind.

Best detailing air compressor but it sucks the amps! You will need the larger Harbor Freight generator. I think it's 5300 watts. But you need at least 3500 running watts to run it. That's why I picked the one I show the link to. It will run on my smaller generator. Also the Rolair is nice. I'd grab the Rolair before the Regid. Specs are close but amps is much lower on the Rolair.Rolair VT20ST 2-HP 4-Gallon Twin Stack Air Compressor (https://www.aircompressorsdirect.com/Rolair-VT20ST-Air-Compressor/p64977.html?gad=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw36GjBhAkEiwAKwIWyZptXopVQlD-Vhif0mGkejF19KbfzXkJtFILAPu0jRTZGaKN1r360RoCSMwQAv D_BwE)

Just went cordless with PXE and C beast. So maybe Rupes’s 3” cordless…. One that looks like the Enterprise when it ejected it’s saucer.

Thinking of a steamer but don’t know how much I’d use.

What size compressor do y’all think I would need to use toronador? Also thinking for cleaning pads. Should like it to run some tools as well.

For home use only mainly the Rigid 4.5 gallon Rigid is nice. it's 5.1 CFM @ 90 PSI $349
mobile I'd go with the California Air tools 1620S 4.5 CFM @ 90psi $290
