1 Step pads: Buff and Shine Uro-fiber and Adam's One Step Pad
5"Inch foam cutting: LC blue HDO CSS and just HDO Also Rupes
5" Inch polishing : LC Orange HDO CSS and HDO. Also Rupes Yellow / Buff and Shine Uro-Tec Blue/
5" Buffing: foam Rupes white/LC wool Purple foam/CarPro white Gloss and Griot's RED and Black
5" Inch Cutting Microfiber: LC Micro and Blue Wool/Micro Rupes
5"- 6" Inch wool cutting: LC Wool steamed.

Depends on the machine too. DA, Forced Rotation and/or rotary. Long throw or short?

I’ve got a GG9 that I use LC Orange flats for light cutting, used the whites for polishing (I think)
I’ve also got a GG3 rotary for tight areas, but I’ve never used it.
Not even sure if I’m using the best pads for the GG9

Final finishing - White Rupes / B&S Uro-Tec, Black LC HDO CCS

Polishing - Yellow Rupes / B&S Uro-Tec, Orange LC HDO CCS

Cutting foam - Blue B&S / LC HDO CCS,

Heavy Cutting Foam - Rupes blue

Heavy Cutting Fiber - B&S Uro-Fiber, LC HDO, Rupes Blue Wool

That's with Jescar, 3D, or Meguiar's abrasives.

I still use my old Porter Cable set up very often, especially with Optimum's line of spray polishes.

Finishing - Red B&S / Hex Logic
Cleaner Wax - Black B&S / Hex Logic
Polishing - Blue B&S / Hex Logic
Cutting - Green B&S / Hex Logic

Fiber Cutting - Black/Orange microfiber, if using Optimum, LC Purple Foamed Wool.

Griots boss orange for medium light cut. Boss yellow for polishing.

Would love to get some force pads for the Cbeast but Autogeek been out for over a month….

So I asked a question on sister site, and this appears to be the perfect place to ask you all your opinions on Sonax red and yellow pads. Not to hijack the thread, but to see if anyone used them. From the posts above they are not a fav amoung the crowd I take it???

I'm not a pro, so my go-to pads are always LC Orange Flats first, and Griot's BOSS White/Orange second.

LC Orange is the standard light cut pad.
Griots Fast Finishing MF pad for light cutting.
Black or white fine finishing pad for final passes.
