please help me understand the difference between a wet and dry foam

the soap does not determine the type of foam...wet or dry....the nozzle that you use in the IK foamer does. I've used the nozzle that produces the wet foam.....and liked that so I did not try the others. If you're using Lift as a pre-soak.....I'm gonna recommend Bilt Hamber Touchless or Bilt Hamber Auto Foam in that role. I use Touchless and have found it to be more effective than Lift.

Yeah I like the medium tip but wet would be good too. For a presoak your not looking for shaving cream thick.

I have always thought of wet foam as being thinner and runnier.

Dry foam would be like shaving cream type, being thicker and heavier.

In the case of the iK foamer, then the selected nozzle will play a role in what type of foam generated. However, some soaps are naturally thicker, some naturally runnier. For example, I find P&S Pearl and Optimum Car Shampoo to be thinner and runnier. Carpro Reset, Gyeon Bathe and Adams Mega Foam produce a thicker, heavier foam.
