I personally would first grab neverdull from my shelf...by the looks of it that should do the trick. Might not though, just the first product that i have that came to mind

A chrome polish should do the trick. If still there something may have etched the chrome. Check to see how bar was chromed to make sure to get correct polish.

Most any typical metal / chrome polish will almost undoubtly work-- I would be almost shocked if it doesn't

If that’s rust, chrome polish probably ain’t gonna get it off.

I’m not sure what we’re looking at based on those pictures, but if it really is rust, and you find out conventional methods don’t work, try Diet Coke & aluminum foil. Or Diet Coke & and either 00 Steel Wool or 0000 Steel Wool with the Diet Coke or regular Coke Cola to remove rust off of chrome.

That’s assuming that surface is chrome.

I always used Mothers and recently saw Car Craft do a great comparison on all the metal polishes. He really did a thorough job. I came to the conclusion to try PURPLE. And it is my new go to metal polish. Ran circles around Mothers on weathered trim. I used it with a micro cut in 2" and it cut 3X' faster with 3X'S the gloss.
