I have Chevy Traverse/GMC Acadias come in regularly, and they’re always hammered interiors.

The first gen 09-17’s had a center console that could be disassembled in 60secs and thrown in the sink to be cleaned easily, and while removed, the stripped console structure could be tornador’d in two minutes.

The result was a spotless console, every seam cleaned. I just got the new gen Traverse in yesterday and it is now all one piece, bolted down, unable to be snapped apart.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a ‘newer gen’ vehicle come in where I thought, “oh wow, the manufacturers made my life easier with this redesign!”

Rant over

I can't recall which car right off but there's one that I do where the cup holders can't be removed.
Whoever is designing these new vehicles must hate detailers

Yup, I did an ‘18 4dr Jeep last month and I pulled the rubber insert out of the cup holder. Later learned it was never designed to be removed. Took a half hr to put it back in.

Same person that designed Subaru carpet must have been on that project

As a consumer, when it comes to pieces of the dash or console I'm GLAD they are all one piece and firmly mounted to the car. It might make them harder to detail, but multiple pieces with mount points which allow or the parts to be pulled apart and re-assembled are a recipe for never ending squeaks and rattles. I'd personally never allow or allow anyone else to disassemble interior bits unless there simply was no other choice to fix a problem. Heck, I've nearly talked myself out of a short-shift kit for my car because you have to partially disassemble the center console.

Not sure I've ever owned a car that allows the cupholders to be removed. Maybe the rubber mat at the bottom, but certainly not the whole thing.

I for one am glad they do have the rubber pull out inserts- mine in my 150 is constantly getting debris in it that a vacuum wont remove-- hence just snatch it out and clean it under running water and apc with a detail brush and back in it goes--- spotless

The worst atrocity are the designers who think tan carpet in a car is a good idea.

How do you like that steering wheel? Does the shape actually make any sort of difference? Or is it gimmicky? How do you like the look of it?

If you mean the flat bottom by shape it suppose to get wheel lower into lap. Maybe good for tracking but I don’t. No other wheel I’ve had has bothered me so didn’t give this one too much thought.

Overall design is a bit bulky in the air bag area.

As for look if talking bout steering wheel…. It’s OK. Look of the actual car? Love it.

I bought it because it’s the fastest thing I’ve ever drove. To put it into perspective a Lamborghini Huracan has around 600-630HP and about 500HP at the wheels.

My Camaro has 603hp at the wheels. I’ve never drove a car in a straight line that scared my till this. I was actually at this particular dealer looking at a different car.

Once I’ve test drove it was a wrap.

I’ve never been a huge fan of the look of the Challengers and although I love my mustang I like the fact I see about 1 Camaro for every 30 mustangs I see around here.
