Last night I made an impulse buy on a new PXE.
I always new about the APS extension and 50mm backing, so I grabbed those. I did get the Quick release extension. I don't recall them having it in QD? Only threaded. Is that fairly new?
I will most likely just use it as a dedicated 3" inch. The 2" Maxshine gets allot of use and I've been really happy with it! In some odd way I almost wanted an excuse to upgrade to the iBIRD I really dig on that little sucker!. But it would be totally redundant since it has been such an awesome tool. I just got it delivered today and the first thing I noticed was how much smaller it is in person. Also there was no 2" Backing plate. That makes sense why the APS is so popular. I did find a nice aftermarket I did find a nice flex shaft by Coatic for $95 US and shipping but is still $180 less than the Flex one. I would only use it most likely for handles. It's really odd they don't even make a 2" or even an extension. Just give aftermarket MFRS. more to improve on while Flex looses.
Why do they not want you to use the rotary attachment on anything over 1"inch??
