I had a client come in last week for daytime drop-off and returned 2 hours later without warning and needed the car back immediately for a work emergency. I had finished the interior and washed the outside. I wanted to get the full detail in and not lose any money so I had to think fast. I grabbed a Griots Surface prep pad I bought last year on a whim, threw it on my Supabeast, sprayed the car down with ONR Clay bar lube mix, and had it. It took me about 5 minutes to get all the way around, results were pretty close to hand clay baring. Grabbed an application pad on the Supa with some 476 and had the car exterior wrapped up in 15 minutes. Kinda pricey but Surface prep pad for the win.

Awesome! I'm glad the Griot's Garage Surface Prep Pad, Optimum ONR, and the Collinite 476 saved the day with this detail job. I'm sure the customer was happy that you took the extra 20 minutes to make sure the vehicle left in good shape.

Different Strokes for Different Folks!...

I can't imagine doing an even marginal quality clay and wax in 20 minutes.

For comparison, I just did a clay and AIO job to a Lexus SUV this week... 2 days/16 hours.

Yeah seems quick but if customer was happy that’s all that matters.
