So this holiday weekend detail was a special one to me. Owned by a good friend, mentor, and my first boss to ever really provide me an opportunity to make a life-changing career and living. I've known Mark since 1994 and have seen countless cars he's owned. This particular one is his wife's new daily driver. Picked up about 2 months back, he opted just like his other cars for a full-on New Car Polish & Protect with the ceramic coating on the Paint, Trim Coating, Wheel Coating, and all glass surfaces.

This is a fully loaded 2022 Yukon Denali in White Frost Tricoat Pearl with a gorgeous Dark Walnut / Slate interior. The paint wasn't too bad but clearly had some swirls from the dealer prep. Now it's fully corrected and coated and ready for daily use.

Many thanks to my friend Mark for his continued trust in my work.

The goodies involved were:

Polished with both a Flex 3401 and XCE with Green Hexlogic Pads using GYEON Primer as the product of choice as a base-coat for the two layers of GYEON Mohs EVO that followed up after. Trim was coated with CarPro Dlux, Wheels with GYEON Q2 RIM, Grill was sealed with GYEON WetCoat.

IMO, the black trim and Dlux really set off white

Looks great. What was your process around the B pillars? What polish/polisher did you use? Did you tape off the rubber/plastic around the pillars? Or how’d you wind up doing those areas without molesting the trim?

Pillars I do with CarPro Essence. Just seems to do a terrific job on them. I use only Flex Polishers. I use primarily 3401's but I do use the XCE too. I've since moved the XCE to my back-up unit though as the 3401's are still IMO built better and while not quite as "Smooth" in operation, they do go faster so there's that.

I don't ever tape off anything. The rubber gaskets on the pillars aren't an issue. I float the pad over them and even when they touch it's not an issue. I use a yellow Rupes pad and it doesn't bother the trim at all. I wipe them off good and again, no issues.
