How often are you replacing your lug nut brush and when do you decide it's time for a replacement?
My bristles are often frayed so I put a rubber band on mine to keep the bristles pointed forward.

Which brush do you use?

I believe it is the Griots, red collar and wooden handle.

Thats the one. Rubber band after I use it helps.Interesting, mine is as straight as the day i bought it, used damn near weekly and on 3 different vehicles.

I had purchased a set from orielly auto parts b4 i had purchased the one from autogeek. It looked identical to the one on ago. The 3 brushed were almost 20 bucks and it did not last a couple uses. I could not withstand being submerged in a bucket of water.

I'm using an Adams lug nut brush and not having any issues with it either. The bristles are fairly stiff and not very long, so it should hold up pretty well over time.

I have those and they are nice.

I switch to WorkStuff brushes recently and they are the best quality ones i’ve used and offer 4 different kinds of fibers.

Not cheap but are built like tanks.

I have about 10 different ones i’ve used.

I’d also trust the Adam’s brush.

I haven’t used a dedicated lug nut brush for a while now. I just hit it with the tip of my Mothers Wheel Brush.

Are you able to get into the lugs very well that way? On both my car and the wife's, the wheels have small, deep holes for the lugs. They are barely bug enough to get a deep-set, thin walled socket in. I tried using my wheel brushes, but could only get around just the opening and not all the way to the back around the lug nut/bolt. This is what drove me recently to a lug brush. I got tired of brake dust building up in those areas.

Maybe my technique was bad?

I find that if you flatten a empty toilet tube so it looks like a half moon, wrap it with a micro towel with a little instant detailer it works better than any brush I have purchased. The towel absorbs the dirt and you can change it every couple of lug nuts once it gets dirty. Throw away the tube after each use and good luck My $0.02

The red wheel brush? What do you mean by tip? Bristles at corner?

That is sorta what I do...I kinda mash it in there on the edge/corner

Yeah i don’t find these small brushes the best for lug nuts. I use them for smaller cut outs and corners of wheels. The lug nut brush looks interesting.

I may give that TP roll a try. Sounds like it may work.
