I am using a Lake Country hybrid red pad to apply Wolfgang sealant with a DA. The product soaks into the red pad since the pad is so soft and absorbent. I apply sealant to the whole car. I cleaned the pad and it took a long time to get all of the sealant out of it. Would the black pad be better since it won't absorb the sealant so quickly?

I use a black pad for sealant. And I wash it , but I never try to get it completely out , I just seal it up in a Ziploc it for the next time.

Sounds like you are using to much sealant, usually near the half way point that if you need to add sealant it’s very minimal and if you compress the pad onto the panel there will be enough in the pad to spread

Finishing Foam Pads will absorb your sealant. Paint sealants are very durable and should be difficult to clean out of your finishing pads when you clean them. Just clean them the best you can with a Citrus Pad Cleaner and let them air dry. Save the finishing pads for next time you apply the sealant.
