They were cheap (first mistake), on Amazon (second mistake) Not sure how many came in the pack.... Used one, rinsed it in cold water (third mistake), discovered the glue used to attach the velcro to the foam is water based. Now I have a 3in foam puck & a 3in velcro disc.
Maybe I can use them for Nerf skeet.

The sting of low prices!

Quality pads seem expensive at first.

But if you have plenty of them (so you don't overwork just a few), and take simple care of them, they will last for years. (In stark contrast to the one-and-done's from Amazon.......)

The bigger pads I have are Lake etc... so it's not like I didn't know any better..

Then you should have bought LC 3" and be a happy camper.:D

Should've just gone the LC route as others mentioned. Speaking of which the LC hydro tech lineup is currently heavily discounted, I stocked up a while ago on the cyan and tangerine pads and have been pleased with the results. It might be overkill, but it feels nice to switch to a fresh pad every couple of section passes lol.

Yup, you get what you pay for with pads.

don't skimp on pads, they are an investment and will last a long time if taken care of properly. cut up the old ones and use them to apply tire and trim dressing until they get nasty and toss them...
