Hello everyone! I'm planning to try to ceramic coat my car for the very first time. I do have a bottle of 3D One and I'm planning to use 3D One to polish my paint and then apply my coating. Should I have another step prior to applying my coating like an IPA wipedown or similar? Thanks!

Yes, it is suggested you clean the paint with some sort of prep spray. It is also recommended to use the prep product for the ceramic product you’re applying to ensure compatibility of a product you haven’t used before. Obviously not all do that and it may not be required but you never know and due to the cost and time involved with a coating, it is a safe precaution to keep it in the family.

Whether you use a "panel wipe" or not is based on what the manufacturer recommend for their specific coating.

3D makes what think is one of the best performing panel wipes on the market today. Here's my review.

Here's the old 2-door European job I tested it on.

This is sad...

I don't remember detailing this car... :bolt:

But I did. Brain compartments must be all full. :dunno:

You will need a panel wipe with 3D One.
