Was just messing around with the hood on a parts car I have and the entire surface is covered in these little pin holes(visible near reflection if the lights) Are these the result of the painting or drying process? If so I assume there is nothing that can be done to remove them? As far as I know the hood hasnt been repainted color is BMW Cosmoschwarz metallic. Just curious, appreciate the input!
Edit: looked more closely and I think it has been resprayed. Newer emblem and Kidney grills both in great shape which is uncharacteristic for the year, horrible hologramming on whole hood and the plastic around wiper squirters is very low key zip tied on.

Yeah, you might not get many hits on this as the pics do not really show the problem, Josh.
You may have 100 problems now........... ;)

A lot of times when a hood has a lot of very light debris chips in the clear, after being polished they will give that effect.
Fine sand from free way driving that chips just deep enough to see but not all the way to the base coat then after polishing adds clarity

I can't see the described defects in the pictures but this theory of fine sand chips is as probable a cause as anything I can think of.
