Looking for ideas on how to store my car detailing supplies and tools.

I do a combination of woodworking and automotive/mechanical work, so my garage is setup for these applications. I want to keep my detailing stuff clean from things like sawdust, oil, grease, etc. I was thinking about placing the detailing items in a plastic tote to protect them. I don’t have many detailing items. Standard wash, polish, and wax products, towels, and a dual action polisher.

I like to keep my detailing liquids inside the house. Heat and cold don't play well with them. I also keep my pads inside. The FL heat has turned some old foam to dust.

Everything else is kept in my garage in a cabinet or plastic totes as you mentioned.

If saw dust is an airborne issue and if you don't have cabinets full of detailing equipment i would probably plastic bag inside the totes too.

And always inspect before use.

I like the Sterilite totes. I stick to the smooth top ones versus the latching since it makes them easier to wipe off before opening.

They also have some with rubber seals (they call them gasket boxes) that I use for stuff that lives out in the garage - full peace of mind knowing nothing is going to work it’s way in there.

Like Paul, I keep all my stuff inside. I’m in MN so it’s freezing temps in the winter and 90+ in the summer. I’ll load up a separate tote to bring everything I’ll be needing up to cut down on trips to the basement.

Little messy, but here are the totes downstairs. (Gallons, distilled water, and a few other things live on a different shelf)

I basically work in my garage.
Painting and refinishing furniture and a fixit shop in the back of my garage. It's ventilated pretty good.
I have a sheet of poly dividing it it half
The front of my garage is for my car wash setup..
I keep the stuff I need clean in a cabinet.
The sprays and stuff sit on a shelf.
I'm in MN also but I have heat and ac.

I have two cabinets, one for chemicals and one for microfibre.

For the microfribre, I have them stored in plastic containers, each container dedicated to a particular use (interior, drying, polishing, wheels, wash mitts ect.) I do the same for polishing pads.

The red cart in the top pic was recently replaced with a larger unit to store brushes, clay, spare parts and a variety of other essentials.
