Hi everyone,

I'm a long time HD Speed user with LC Orange CCS pad. I'm planning to try the 3D One Hybrid Compound soon. What pads do you guys use for the 3D One Hybrid? Also want to hear from others if they have the same 3D One + LC CCS foam combo. Thanks!!

What machine are you using?

On my G9 and Makita PO5000C, I like Buff and Shine Uro-Tec pads. Buff & Shine Uro-Tec Foam Pad System (https://www.autogeek.net/uro-tec-foam-pads.html)

The yellow is good for softer paints, and the dark blue or even maroon for hard paint systems.

It works especially well with microfiber pads. Most foam pads, too. The only pad I haven't had luck with it is the Rupes Yellow Wool pad(doesn't finish well).

Depends on if I'm working on severely neglected paint or light/shallow defects.

The most recent car I detailed using 3D One was this old 2-door Dodge. Here's a picture of the pads I used. These are the next generation RUPES CP foam pads. Love these pads.

Paint wasn't in bad shape, wasn't great but wasn't bad.

Matte vinyl graphics were bad though.

About a year and 2 months ago I used it on and old 2-door Chevy. The swirls and scratches were light/shallow but the paint was rock hard.

For this paint I used the LC 6.5" Orange Force Hybrid Foam Cutting Pads - and lots of them. Followed by the same line of pad only the white polishing version.

3D ONE and Buff And Shine Uro-Fiber Blend 50/50 pads are a very popular and effective combination (if you are using a free spinning DA).

I just used it on a 10 year old neglected SUV and one step corrected and finished very well. I see why this is such a popular combination.

I'm using Flex 3401 AKA "The Beast" as Mike has coined it
