Hello
How long it is safe to wait with polishing after car painting? I noticed that varnisher sometimes polish car just 1 or 2 days after painting. It is safe and normal?

I have heard a wide range of answers about the cure time for a clear coat. It depends on the manufacturer, the technique, temperature, relative humidity etc. Generally speaking, it takes 24-48 hours to dry and 30 days to completely cure. I would wait the 30 days to polish or apply sealants.

There are situations in which you can polish and seal right away, like if the paint has been baked on or has gone through some type of heat treatment, but you can always be guaranteed that you’re perfectly OK to polish and seal after 60 days no matter what.

You can polish and compound when you take delivery from the body shop. They do it but likely aren't detail specialists. Just use products like 3D 505 that are silicone free.

Your paint needs to cure. I would wait a minimum or 30 - 45 Days before touching it. The best way is to get the information from the painter.

only to seal with silicon based products. he can polish/correct it right away though. the gas off period is just for sealing it with a coating or something else with silicon in it.. 3D AAT 505 works great and is fine on fresh paint.
