So a good friend of mine Rick has some of the most awesome German Machines in his garage. Most all are M-Series or above and this is yet another new addition that he added just about one month ago. It's a 2016 BMW M3 in Tanzanite Blue Metallic. It's a gorgeous color and really is amazing to see in person. I'm not sure if it's the flake or the way the body is shaped or both, but the gloss flows like electricity over this car. The color combo of this blue and the Amaro Brown Leather is stunning. Best combo I've seen in this car.

It's a originally a California car and one that lived in the Sacramento area for a while. Really a super nice car and one that I gotta say is noticeable that hasn't seen much rain and of course no snow. Top to bottom it cleaned up amazingly well. Not sure if it's a competition package but there are some really nice Carbon Fiber accents all over and the entire roof with Carbon Fiber really sets it off too.

The car was in average condition with swirls and scuffs all over it. Nothing horrible but it definitely needed some love. We approached this with my Premium Enhancement Polish Package topped with a dual layer Ceramic to lock in the depth, add a touch of gloss and protect this day-forward. Wheels are done too because like most German cars, OEM Pads are a PIA and dropped dust like crazy. Even in these pics you can see rust from the rotors after the wash has already made it's way like Cinnamon over top of some areas.

Here I use both my Flex XCE and 3401 with Orange Hybrid Force Pads and CarPro Essence as the polish. Topped off with a two layer system, one of CarPro UK 3.0 and then a second layer of CarPro SiC. Wheels were done with GYEON Q2 RIM.

Onto the pics!

Looks phenomenal. What camera are you using? Is HDR turned on to grab so much reflection?

As usual, very nice!

I grew up in Ohio (Cleveland area) and worked in the autobody industry there into my mid/late twenties. I moved to CA in 1980 pursuing my main passion at the time - racing.

One of the first observations I noticed in CA was how clean and rust free the cars were. My second observation was how cold the water was at the beaches... That was actually quite a disappointing revelation and not at all what I expected.

But back to the cars. California cars are such a night and day difference from an Ohio car. Unless you experience the difference you could never imagine how clean CA cars really are. The only downsides with a CA car are the UV damage that they can suffer and sometimes a little shorter mechanical life due to the higher operating temperatures. But structurally and body-wise, twenty year-old (and older) cars are essentially like new.

I remember when I was younger and in Ohio, working on rust-buckets. Even one and two year old cars had chassis corrosion already staking its claim. After all these years in CA I can't imagine trying to maintain a nice car in Ohio.

Primary bodies are Canon R5 and R6. Depth is from the glass. Cameras are nothing but a processing engine. Depth and contrast comes from high quality lenses. I shoot primarily L lenses from Canon in RAW format only. . Most of the garage shots are done with my cell phone in auto mode. Galaxy S20Ultra. HDR mode is on there yes.
