2014 Honda Pilot EX-L 80k miles. I was washing the car today and I noticed tiny rust spots around the car. I take care of my car and I polish and wax it once a year and I wash it myself. Does anyone know how to get rid of these spots? Thanks.

Iron X or similar iron remover. Their tiny bits of iron/metals imbedded in the paint by industrial fallout. Clay will sheer them to the surface but an iron remover will change them chemically so they can be rinsed away.

Yup, problem solved. Iron X will remove your wax, so be sure to re-wax.

Oh, and be sure to be up-wind as it smells terrible (rotten eggs).

Clay might remove some, but not all iron in the clear coat. At best, clay will just shear off the tops. You need a chemical dissolver.

It smells bad but it is the best tool for the job! Like I said, clay will sheer off the surface level but iron decon will get it below the surface.

Thanks for all your help. I used Iron X than I used a clay bar and it looks much better. Here is a before and after pic of the area.

Since GYEON Q2M clay is extremely chemical resistant, I use GYEON Q2M Iron as clay lube on these spots—this particular combination is spectacular.
