Hey! New member here, thanks for this space to come together. Question for you all— I am awaiting delivery of my new Dravit Grey M440i. As it crosses the ocean, the anticipation has me thinking about the paint prep work I’m excited to do.

Question is, what is your recommendation and why on any of the polishes below for some light exfoliation and shine if needed, prior to protective coating.

It seems like all are highly regarded.

1. Koch Chemie Micro Cut M3.02
2. Sonax Perfect Finish
3. Menzerna Super Finish 3500 (or 3800)

What pads are you pairing each with too?

Thanks in advance!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210424/846955575c0b6267e2ec430d8d8f40e9.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210424/db508bbad516f983bb37f8dcb1604038.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210424/bc11a469847790d2b23599eedf6d1b57.jpg

We aren't supposed to discuss products not sold in the Autogeek store. It might be better to ask this question in the sister site autopia.org.

I've used all of them. Perfect Finish dusts but finishes well (some say one of the best). M3.02 I just used yesterday on paint in good condition and is a nice polish. No dust with it. If anything it kind of feels like it lacks a bit of lubrication. Easy wipe off. Good results none the less.

It's been a while since I've used Menzerna polishes. They were very oily which is ok but if you are going to apply a coating afterward you have to spend time on your panel wipe step to ensure you get all the oils off.

There are literally dozens of polishes. Everyone might share their favorites.

The pad/machine/technique probably plays more of a role in results than the polish once you get to a quality level of performance that you have listed above.

Also what are you using for protection? Sometimes you can use a coating primer polish which will work well with your protection. Just a thought.
