Did this the other day...1951 Chevrolet Styleline. Repainted about 8 years ago with Fords Ink Blue Metallic that you see on a lot of Ford Fusions.

No before picture's for I was not really planning on documenting it.

- Carpro Ultracut (spot treatment)
- Blackfire One Step
- FLEX XCE 10-8 125

I have been a massive rotary for cutting, free spinning for finishing guy forever but the FLEX XCE 10-8 125 is quickly becoming my favorite tool.

Very nice!

Isn't it so cool to work on unique cars?

Most certainly !
I love working on the body lines of stuff like this but it is also very cool looking at some of the 70+ year old engineering in some of this stuff.

What a cool car!

Love the paint color and the reflection shots of the clouds. That paint looks outstanding!

Nice work, thanks for sharing:)

Awesome work! That color combined with the white walls just does it for me, very classy.

BTW how do you like the Ultracut compared to something like 3D ACA 500?

I have not had a chance to use the Ultra Cut with a rotary yet but on the da it cuts just as well if not better and finishes down much nicer.

Ultra cut is seriously impressive and as of right now prefer it over Menz. 400 and Sonax Cutmax also. Cuts much better and actually finishes down better. They nailed it with that compound

This weekend I will do a comparison between ACA 500 and Ultracut on the rotary and post back here

Did you dive into the paint? It looks wet and deep. Beautiful job on a beautiful car.

Beautiful work, looks like liquid black oil.

but the FLEX XCE 10-8 125 is quickly becoming my favorite tool.

For the life of me... I can never remember what the hell these tools are by their part numbers?

Ya, I can definitely see that.

I really enjoy cutting with a rotary. I personally find cutting with a free spinning da a bit bland. Getting into this forced rotation FLEX has definitely given me a new love for polishing, both cutting and finishing.

I recognize that name... in fact, we had a 73 year-old guy call me and ask me for my personal recommendation for his next polisher. He's been using the Porter Cable for years. Wanted to take polishing to the next level. I told him his options then made my recommendations and he went with the FLEX Supa BEAST.

Had me sign it before it shipped out...

I keep telling tool companies to give their tools "actual" names, not part numbers.

Maybe some decade after I'm gone they'll listen.
