View Full Version : Restoration of 1973 AMX Pierre Cardin Edition.
With snow on the ground and the Muscle Cars in hiding, I’ve been working on polishing stainless trim and the Pierre Cardin seats at Bruno’s Classic Muscle.
I’m having fun with this project!

That looks like it's going to be a sweet ride. Always liked those AMXs.

When I was restoring those 60s cars, I polished the stainless trim on a buffer wheel with stick compounds.
Not sure how Tom (TMQ) is doing it, but whatever he's doing looks like it's working out just fine.

I was just going to ask him if that was what he did, it's far and away still the best method on stainless and also fine for aluminum as long as you take appropriate cautions (ie. it's soft).
Major accomplishment on those seats as well. :props:
Looks like there is a 2nd Javelin / AMX in the house there ?

Yes....Parts car.
They had those seats that I've cleaned in there and a raccoon lived in the car for some time!
Dang nasty work getting mud and coon poop out of the seats!
Tom
Still have the rear seats and the headliners to do!!
Haven't seen them yet!
Will add pictures once I get them.
