Gonna remove my wheels, clean, iron remove and ceramic coat them. I usually use Optimum power clean. Any other product you like?

I use Adam's tire and rubber cleaner for the tires and their wheel cleaner for the wheels.

I've also had good results with Tuff Shine tire/rubber cleaner and Sonax wheels cleaner or similar.

Ditto with Scott---

Life is good and easy with these products!

Well for me, like many of my fellow Geeks, I maintain or "clean as you go" on my ride. This means not going weeks/months between tire & wheel cleanings, staying ontop of things. So for this my "go to" is P&S Brake Buster in my IK foamer @ 3:1 ratio. Not only am I happy with the product but it keeps the rotors alot less rusty, a win win win[emoji122]

I also use Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner on my tires/wheels when they get real bad, well, real bad to me as well as when I go to the Dragon because this product really kicks a$$ on brake dust, always a problem on a road like that and it ALWAYS works[emoji779]

I'm in the same mindset, only occasionally using a wheel cleaner on my own cars. Regular washing and protection means I just don't need to.

I do however need a wheel cleaner for the few cars I detail for money. With Brake Buster, I have eliminated the need for two different products to clean wheels and tires.

For tires griots rubber cleaner when their kinda dirty and to get them squeaky clean 303 Tire and rubber.

I also keep my wheels pretty maintained and for light cleaning 303 is fine. I actually like that it’s not that strong as I like to clean my wheels with a foamer.

For wheels that need a deep clean Meguiar’s Ultimate wheel cleaner. It cleans well and also a color changing iron remover.

For baked on crud, i’ve never used it, I ‘ve seen impressive results by forum members with brown royal.

OP, I know you said you were going to ceramic coat your rims and that's a great idea since they're off of the car[emoji106][emoji362] The Brake Buster will be a great product to maintain the cleanliness of both the tires and wheels but I'd like to suggest buying a bottle of 303 Touchless sealant to give the rims a little added protection every 6 weeks. Its inexpensive and the bottle will last you a long time if you use it just to "boost" your wheels protection. The 303 Touchless sealant is made to protect your cars paint and equally works well on rims too.

What kind of rims are you working on, pics?

I use Dr. Beasley's Intensive Brake Dust Remover, and Wheel Cleaner. Like others above, find the product you like and stick with it.

LA Totally Awesome for tires, Griots Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner for wheels. Chemical Guys Sticky Citrus Wheel Cleaner is one of the most worthless products I have used.

I wanted to like the CG Sticky Citrus but it just did not do anything. I have used Griots and Sonax and they immediately start to work as soon as you spray them on. The Chemical Guys product did not do a thing.

I don't know what it is but I love the smell of Griot's Garage wheel cleaner, ofcoarse the performance. This has me putting their wheel cleaner on my list for next things to purchase, thanks for the post[emoji6]
